Living in RV

The Nomadic life

First got the idea a long time ago, it started with wondering why people didn’t convert school buses into a tiny homes more often. Later I found out how naive that thought was, theres a whole section of Youtube that only deal with Schooly conversions.

When the Covid pandemic was becoming a problem for workplaces in the US my employer decided to shift to a work from home model.

Thats when I first thought “now I really got a chance to make this dream a reality”, since my income did not depend on being in Houston anymore, I was finally free.

I needed to first get rid of my Apartment lease and furniture. That part was easy, I had a harder time getting rid of my Jeep.

Then begun my 6 month battle to get a loan, once I was finally approved I ended up with a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 dually.

We finally hit the road in December, never having used the generator and only having a feint idea of the recomended weight rating on the RV and Ram.

The first place it sunk in that I was out in the middle of nowhere Utah (sheep’s bridge to be acurate) where I got to see the beauty of doing nothing and being out of reach of most people.

Charlotte encouraging.
